First time at The Cross Keys, then the Dog & Badger

22:20

We didn't have as big a turn-out as I hoped for our first use of the Cross Keys function room on 29th February.  However, the acoustics were good and we were made welcome. There was an interesting stroboscopic effect from the lighting that made guitar strings seem to vibrate in slow motion. Those present decided that we should make this a regular venue so we'll be there on the second Wednesdays of April, May and June.

We had a much better turnout this week at The Dog & Badger - it was good to see and hear Jeremy and Anna again. Despite the number of people was us, it was quite a low-key evening until Alison and David commemorated the recent death of Richard Sherman, writer of many songs for Disney films, with an excellent version of Feed the Birds from Mary Poppins. We then all livened up for a super evening.

We'll stick with our regular venues for March (The Chequers on 14th, The Dashwood Arms on 21st, The Prince Albert on 28th), and start The Cross Keys on second Wednesday in April. We'll probably alternate the third Wednesdays between the Chequers  and the Dashwood.
